ADMIN ASST PROFESSIONAL MASTERS PROGRAMS EES
Duties: In collaboration with the College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS), this position will be divided equally between the Masters of Environmental Studies (MES, 25%) the Master of Science in Applied Geosciences (MSAG, 25%), and Master of Chemical Sciences (MCS, 50%). The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and logistical support and represents the three science programs and their Directors in a welcoming, helpful and professional manner to faculty, staff and students. Duties include first-level response to inquiries from current and prospective students, maintaining the office space, greeting visitors, handling inquiries to the master's programs, organizing meetings for current and prospective students, social media, communication with current students and faculty through the Canvas communities, organizing events, coordinating reimbursements for students and faculty, and organizing transportation for student events.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and 3 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Bachelor Degree strongly preferred; Knowledge of Geology or Environmental studies preferred. Detail oriented. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Knowledge of social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Hootsuite. Knowledge of Canvas and Concur a plus. Ability to take direction and work independently.
