The Operations Coordinator will assist in the development and administration of a comprehensive recreation and sports program for a diverse campus community. Coordinate the operations and services related to the Aramark Student Training and Recreation Complex (STAR) fitness center. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field. Two (2) years of past experience in the collegiate recreational sports environment required. Experience with working independently without supervision a necessity. CPR/AED certification require, First Aid certification preferred. Initial level of fitness and exercise certification through ACSM, ACE, NASM, AAAI, YMCA, or NSCA preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities:*Excellent interpersonal skills are required with the willingness and ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals both inside and outside of the university; *Ability to translate and communicate the mission of a complex, urban university and the ability to persuasively represent University goals to various constituency groups. *Must be able to work flexible shifts between 6am-11pm as well as weekends when needed.
