Job Description Summary

The Executive Director Enrollment Operations & Financial Assistance coordinates College-wide Enrollment Center operations and plans, executes, and evaluates all aspects of student financial aid administration.

Job Responsibilities

Provides leadership, strategic direction and coordination to make certain the philosophy, goals, and operating principles of the College Enrollment Centers and Student Financial Aid & Scholarship Offices are maintained so that the student enrollment experience Is consistent from site to site

Ensure the core services of the various College Enrollment Centers, Student Financial Aid and Scholarship Offices are consistently Implemented and maintained at each site

Provides district-wide enrollment operations and financial assistance subject-matter expertise, business process ownership, and leadership to campus/site units; fiscal planning, execution, and optimization of funding resources; ensuring compliance with respective regulations and program requirements; and, maintaining and updating the College's enrollment and financial aid policies, processes, and procedures to ensure that all are student-centered and support student success

Communicates regularly with the campus' Deans of Student Affairs, Offices of Finance and Business Services, Foundation, Registrar's Office and others, as appropriate, by keeping them Informed and seeking Input on Important Issues

Leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of other electronic documents into this outreach plan providing potential and current students, the College, area and the community awareness of financial assistance opportunities

Serves as the College's representative in securing and administering local, state and federal student financial aid programs totaling nearly $100 million

Coordinates the operations and services of the Enrollment Centers across all campuses and sites and Ellucian Student Systems as they interface with Financial Assistance, enrollment, and the Enrollment Centers staff training programs

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


Master's Degree
o Significant related experience may substitute for education

Minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in student financial assistance

Experience with an integrated student and financial aid ERP system

Experience dealing with the USDE and with federal audits required

Experience operationalizing systemic processes in a large-scale organization


Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the relationship between financial aid enrollment processes and student success

Knowledge of higher education financial aid regulations and processes

Knowledge of best practices in enrollment services for both credit and non-credit enrollment

Ability to work with diverse constituencies within and external to the college, including the Department of Education, the Ohio Instructional Grant Program, external funding agencies, and other governmental agencies

Proven supervisory and conflict resolution skills

Ability to facilitate problem solving and evaluate outcomes

Able to research and analyze Issues and develop solutions capable skills in providing leadership, direction and guidance to groups/Individuals with divergent views and expectations

Proven ability to work In a fast-paced, high volume and confidential service environment

Promote collaboration, teamwork, and Involve all stakeholders in decision-making processes

Ability to be creative and exercise initiative

Strong computer skills In MS Office

Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in the performance of regular work

Excellent written, verbal and Interpersonal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships

Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications


Knowledge and experience with Banner student and financial aid information and related student transaction systems

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of operation, Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
