General Summary: The Theatre department seeks a part-time instructor to teach Stage Combat and Theatre Appreciation on the Gainesville campus during the Fall 2017 semester. The Stage Combat course serves as part of the actor training program and Theatre Appreciation is an Area C course elective for non-majors.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The PT Faculty's duties include:
  • Teaching Stage Combat and Theatre Appreciation.
  • Communicating with departmental colleagues regarding text, common assignments, and standardized rubrics and grading.
  • Reporting grades in a timely manner.
  • Following all guidelines in the Faculty Handbook for part-time instructors


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • M.F.A. in Theatre with experience teaching Stage Combat at the university level
  • Stage Combat training to the level of Certified Actor Combatant
