General Summary: The Department of Visual Arts at the University of North Georgia, Gainesville campus, is seeking applications for a one-year full-time, limited term faculty position (with benefits) in Studio Art and Art Appreciation. eview of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will teach a 5/5 load in 2-D media and art appreciation.
  • Teaching assignments will be on the Gainesville campus, and may include evening classes.
  • Other duties include holding office hours, attending department meetings, and maintaining appropriate class records.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • The position requires an M.F.A. or equivalent educational background.
  • Prior teaching at the university level strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching studio art and art appreciation required.
