Rowan University is a public comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 17,300 students. The Facilities Operations Department (Operations) will require the successful candidate to provide various services within the title, as well as related work as required. This work will be performed under the supervision of the Directors in a liaison capacity, providing clear and concise communications between the numerous departments and trades shops in Operations, other Divisions and Departments, and the Campus Community in whole. The position will require the interpretation of State regulations and laws that are germane to Operations' functions. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Scheduling the use of the master key system, including programming and maintenance;
  • Monitoring and assigning work to clerks and student workers;
  • Attending meetings related to assigned responsibilities;
  • Serving on committees;
  • Representing the University at seminars and conferences;
  • Consulting with Supervisors and Directors regarding issues, concerns, policies, and procedural implementation;
  • Overseeing training;
  • Gathering reports and maintaining essential files;
  • Manage NJDCA Annual Permit, compute fees, and make payments;
  • Compiling materials for publication; and
  • Preparing correspondence for Directors.


Education Requirement:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
  • NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute professional experience on a year for year basis.
Experience Requirements:
  • One (1) year of professional experience in different aspects of administration and business practices; including design and implementation of policy and procedures, vendor service contracts and improving and updating management practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Rowan Works, Gas Boy, Dossier, and OnBase.
  • Ability to provide technical, accurate reports and findings.
