Coordinates marketing, communication and event planning functions of the Office of Planned Giving, performs a wide range of marketing, events and communication-related duties supporting the office with planned giving donors, various offices across campuses, Planned Giving prospects, advisory boards and major gift officers and other administrators.

Specific Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the Planned Giving Advisory Boards including but not limited to developing strategies, planning, scheduling and managing all Advisory Board meetings; working with the Planned Giving Officers to cultivate and orient new Advisory Board members and to steward current members; updating and maintaining the Advisory Board directories; updating and maintaining the Advisory Board section of the Planned Giving website; providing customer services by independently resolving donor issues and questions; and updating Advisory Board members on pertinent news or events.
•Responsible for design and implementation of the Planned Giving stewardship program for Planned Giving donors including but not limited to identifying donors to be stewarded; developing stewardship strategies; creating and maintaining an annual schedule and log for stewardship activities; preparing stewardship materials; and delivering material to donors in an appropriate manner.
•Responsible for the preparation of Planned Giving tips, newsletters, articles and other marketing materials in coordination with school/college-based Development Officers, the Planned Giving Website vendor and the Planned Giving officers.
•Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the “Donor Stories” section of the Planned Giving website in conjunction with University Communications and Advancement Communications and contributing “Donor Stories” to other print and on-line vehicles. Contacts donors for release of information.
•Assists the Planned Giving Officers with donor follow-ups, mailings to donors, and responses to donors. Requests specific extract criteria from RE for mailings and email blasts.
•Assists with the analysis, preparation and presentation of reports. Researches prospect information from various sources, summarizes and presents information.
•Reviews and recommends enhancements to communication strategies. Works with outside vendors in conjunction with the office’s direct mail program. Maintains information and recommends enhancements for the Planned Giving web site. Coordinates multimedia packages—letters, brochures, videos, point-of-purchase displays—for particular assignments.
•Create, implement and maintain a social media strategy for the Office of Estate and Planned Giving.
•Responsible for planned giving events. Plans events in conjunction with the planned giving officers, responsible for all logistics of events in conjunction with the planned giving Donor Relations Coordinator. Assists at events as requested. Enters event information into Raiser’s Edge when needed. Manages downloads containing Raiser’s Edge information for events or direct mail projects.
•Assigns tasks to student-workers in coordination with the Donor Relations Coordinator and the Executive Director.
•Performs such other duties as are necessary and appropriate as directed by the Director and/or the Executive Director.

Qualifications
• Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years’ experience in an executive office environment, fundraising, and/or event planning, equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
• Must have outstanding telephone skills, be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative, diplomacy, assertiveness, and creativity are essential.
