About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: The Promotions Assistant manages departmental administrative work-flow; fields all general inquiries to the publicity department; assists promotions managers with administrative duties; and directly assists the promotions staff with daily clerical and organizational tasks. The Assistant writes and proofreads promotional copy for the Press's reprint list and related titles, researches media and publicity outlets, and oversees the hiring, training, and management of student assistants within the promotions department.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, publishing, or a related field preferred.

Unit Experience: A minimum of two years of related experience in writing, publishing, publicity, or public relations experience required.
