Posting Summary:
The Medical Simulation Center in the School of Medicine is seeking a Simulation Technology Specialist. The incumbent assists in coordinating the medical simulation program including performing pre- and post-simulation activities, executing simulation sessions, collaborating with faculty on scenario development, and supporting the daily operations of the Simulation Center. The incumbent also provides technical and administrative coordination for the center and assists with maintaining the center's documentation and resources.

The position requires either:

1) a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of one year of experience in education, simulation, or a clinical area; or

2) an Associate's Degree with four years' significant related experience or two to four years' significant related experience and a CHSE or CHSOS certification; or

3) a High School diploma with eight years of directly related professional experience and a CHSE or CHSOS certification.

The successful candidate must have significant competency with technology including the ability to learn and master software and operate analog and digital A/V systems and mechanical and electromechanical systems. Candidates must be able to multi-task and work independently to build collaborative relationships in an interdisciplinary team environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills, be organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience with high-fidelity medical simulation and/or experience with simulation education and research and SSiH certication with demonstrated competency in simulation is preferred.

This position is restricted and dependent on continued funding.
