Post-Doctoral Fellow

This is a full time, NIH_ funded Postdoctoral Associate position in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, in Aurora, CO. the fellow will report to Dr. Mair Churchill and will work in her structural biology research group. The position will focus on understanding the mechanisms underlying chromatin structure and its assembly. Duties will involve development and implementation of methods to determine structures, interactions, and functions of histone chaperones. In addition to performing experiments, the fellow will write and prepare manuscripts for publication; and the fellow is expected to pursue extramural funding to help support their research project. The position will begin immediately.
Qualifications

This position requires knowledge of structural biology, X- ray crystallography, NMR, biochemistry, protein chemistry, biophysics, mass spectrometry molecular biology to differing degrees. this position requires problem solving skills, as well as scientific aptitude and creativity.
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacology, or have investigated a closely related field for their Ph.D research project. Evidence of a strong commitment to research from strong publications and letters of reference is required.
