The Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a radiation oncologist to specialize in the treatment of the cancer and other malignancies. Specific site expertise is negotiable. In addition to clinical responsibilities, this physician will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the department in terms of research and teaching responsibilities. This position requires the completion of a residency in radiation oncology. This position requires someone to be able to obtain licensure for the practice of medicine within the State of Colorado and obtain privileges at our participating hospitals. Examples of Work Performed: See and treat patients with cancer. In addition to their designated sites of expertise, they will also be required to see urgent or emergency patients with other diagnoses as the need arises. Physicians within the department share night and weekend call. This position will include clinical responsibilities at both the main campus and at off-campus sites. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: This position would preferably be filled by someone with demonstrated experience and expertise in the treatment of cancer and other malignancies; specific treatment sites is negotiable. Interest and experience with brachytherapy is desirable.
Must be either certified by the American Board of Radiology, or have an accepted equivalent, or be board eligible. Board eligible applicants are expected to pass their board exams within 3 years of completion of their residency program.

Interest and experience with brachytherapy is desirable. This could be demonstrated by prior research or peer-reviewed publications in these fields.
