The AES Department invites applications for a full-time nontenure track engineering design projects instructor. The instructor will be a member of the AES faculty and will participate in course development and assessment, teaching, faculty governance, and university service.

Candidates should have a graduate degree in either aerospace, aeronautical, or astronautical engineering, or a related field, and must possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills along with the ability to teach and work in a highly collaborative environment. Preference will be given to applicants with prior university teaching, project management and demonstrated systems engineering experience. Exceptional candidates will be considered at the senior instructor level.

Viable candidates should be capable of teaching the application of engineering design concepts to audiences from freshman through graduate students, engaging with industry sponsors to generate project support and managing ITAR restricted and proprietary projects at the graduate level.

Candidates who are invited for an on campus interview will be expected to conduct a 30 minute model class on a topic of their choice and a 30 minute presentation of their vision for engineering design and projects-based courses in our curriculum.
