The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is seeking a candidate to join its team in a dynamic and innovative clinical environment. The School is located on the beautiful Anschutz Medical Campus in new, state-of-the-art facilities. The campus is home to schools of medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health and dental medicine along with multiple hospitals and affiliate institutions. The campus is located in the Denver metropolitan area at the base of the majestic Rocky Mountains.

The School provides rich learning experiences, high quality patient care and outstanding research. Programs include DDS, International Student Program, General Practice Residency, and Periodontics, Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry post graduate programs. The Pediatric Dentistry program is located at the Children's Hospital.

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time Clinical Track (C/T) faculty position in the Division of Periodontology at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Primary teaching responsibilities include both clinical and didactic teaching at the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels. Scholarly activity and service to the University and community are expected. Intramural faculty practice opportunity is available. Candidates must exhibit effective writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and prior teaching experience is preferred.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • DDS or DMD degree.
  • Certificate from a CODA-accredited Periodontics Residency Program.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the State of Colorado and for a credentialed appointment within the School of Dental Medicine.
  • Eligible for and attainment of a moderate sedation license in the State of Colorado.
  • Experience in all aspects of non-surgical and surgical periodontal and implant therapy.
  • Experience in treating medically complex patients, multidisciplinary patients, and other special populations.
  • Commitment to evidence-based teaching and practice.
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
