Division of Cardiology

The Division of Cardiology has an immediate opening for a full-time postdoctoral research fellow to investigate sex differences in cardiac ion channel function in response to ischaemic events. This individual would work with the collaborative, multi-disciplinary group of Drs. Christine Tompkins, Lori Walker and Roger Bannister.

Preference will be given to individuals with expertise in ion channel biology and cellular electrophysiology techniques. Applicants are expected to be highly motivated and committed to a career in the sciences. Fluency in English is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D in the Biological Sciences, or an M.D.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with patch-clamp recording techniques
  • Broad knowledge of ion channel biophysics
  • Composition of publications in physiology journals
