The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, has an opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Associate or Assistant Professor position to work at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.

Examples of Work Performed

Patient care in Pediatric Gastrointestinal Diseases at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) Main Campus and Network of Care Clinics, including inpatient attending and outpatient clinics, as well as performing the full range of gastrointestinal procedures, including performance of procedures at CHCO Network of Care facilities. Performing clinical or translational research in gastrointestinal disorders. The position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position that will spend the majority of time in clinical care and develop a clinical and academic program in Pediatric Pancreatology. The successful candidate will have a clinical and research focus in pancreatic diseases, and be experienced in the full gamut of pediatric GI disorders and GI procedures. Education and teaching of pediatric residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, students, and others.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of all pediatric GI disorders, demonstrated skills in the full gamut of pediatric GI endoscopic and other procedures, excellent teaching and education skills, knowledge and training of pediatric gastroenterology, and understanding of the performance of research.

Minimum Requirements:

Completed fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at RRC-approved fellowship (or equivalent), MD degree and American Board of Pediatrics Board Certified in Pediatrics, and Board Eligible or certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology or Transplant Hepatology. Minimum of two years of clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in busy clinical service for at least 3 years; previous experience teaching residents and fellows; publications in peer-reviewed journals in pediatric gastroenterology or related fields. Clinical and academic interest in Pancreatic Disorders.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for the Associate Professor position has been established at $198,000 to $274,000 and the salary for the Assistant Professor position has been established at $165,000 to $216,000.
