Job Description Responsibilities Manage the provision of GIS data products online and in hardcopy, related metadata and web service documentation Design, create, and deliver GIS training courses and materials Publish GIS web content on WMATA intranet and public website Create content and edit GIS web services data Maintain and publish GIS metadata, and documentation relating to GIS web services Design, test, and administer of spatial data QA, QC, and quality audit tasks and applications Create content, provisioning of WMATA GIS maps and other products in accordance with WMATA standards and policies Design, produce, and convert GIS products to desktop publishing formats such as Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), Adobe Photoshop, etc. Design, produce and deliver GIS data products for digital or hardcopy formats Create, organize and maintain GIS report libraries, including change documentation Develop publications and documentation regarding GIS products, metadata and spatial data, and manage their publication Conduct metadata operations and maintenance Manage printing, including printing of maps Support users in solving GIS graphics and analytical problems Minimum Requirements Enterprise ArcGIS data coordinator experience Knowledge, skills and abilities in the principles, practices, concepts and methods relating to use of GIS desktop tools and web services in web browsers, especially as applied to transportation, transit, facilities management, planning, and crime analysis Proficient with ArcGIS desktop tools, desktop publishing tools, spatial (GIS) metadata standards and industry maintenance tools ArcGIS data and metadata management experience ArcGIS data quality auditing and QA experience Experience Levels Eight (8) or more years' experience, five (5) years of experience with GIS metadata, publishing GIS documents, and GIS data development or warehousing; and three (3) years task management and self-supervisory experience Education may be substituted for relevant experience as follows: Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science or Geography, or in any discipline but with specialization in GIS technology, may substitute for two (2) years' experience. Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science or Geography, or in any discipline but with specialization in GIS technology, may substitute for one (1) year experience
