Conference & Event Services (CES) at The College of New Jersey enthusiastically welcomes applications for a full-time Manager, Conference & Event Services to join our dynamic team. There are two openings for this position.

The Conference & Event Services Department cultivates, plans and executes events on campus for both internal and external customers.  Our core mission is to raise the level of hospitality & service that our customers experience, while at the same time driving revenue for the college.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to customer service along with excellent organizational and planning skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Serve as the principal liaison and project manager for the scheduling, conceptual design and oversight of multiple, complex conferences and events for the departments and schools within the college.

Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with other campus offices and departments in support of the logistics, services and details related to events.

Please note this position requires a flexible schedule, nights and weekends are often required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum of two years professional experience in the fields of event management and revenue generation.

  • Proficiency in the use of computer systems for office work and event planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Hospitality Degree is a plus

  • Experience with EMS Scheduling Software

The College offers a generous benefits package that includes health, dental, vision and prescription plans, as well as pension, paid leave time and tuition savings programs. The targeted salary for this position is $55,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.
