House Supervisor/ Nurse Manager
The House Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of safe, therapeutically effective patient care in all areas of the hospital. As a member of the nursing management team, the House Supervisor coordinates operations between nursing units and represents hospital administration in hospital operations in the absence of the Administrative team.
1. Experience: Minimum 2-5 years leadership experience in the clinical areas of Medical/Surgical, Critical Care, Perinatal Nursing.
2. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
3. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated leadership ability, critical thinking skills and judgement. Communication skills, commitment to patient centered care, change management and conflict resolution. Knowledge of nursing principles and standards of care.
4. Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: Current WA State RN License and BLS. Must obtain ACLS, PALS, External Fetal Monitoring, and NRP within 2 years of employment.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing, stooping, crouching and stretching required during the normal course of the day. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
Sunnyside Community Hospital & Clinics, A Regional Health Affiliate, is located in Sunnyside, Washington. We are situated in the heart of Southeastern Washington. Our hospital has a 24-hour emergency room, seven-bed intensive care unit, medical-surgical floor, Family Birth Center, operating rooms, laboratory and diagnostic imaging (3-D mammography, x-ray, CT scan, new state-of-the-art MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and bone density scan). Other services include cardiology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy and diabetes education.
The hospital is a private, nonprofit facility owned by the Sunnyside Community Hospital Association. An unpaid board of trustees governs the hospital.
