Position Summary:
Continuing Education. The Senior Program Development Specialist directs and leads developing (non-credit) professional and lifelong learning programs, corporate training and growing non-credit online enrollment.

Essential Functions

  • Develops professional and lifelong learning programs.
  • Supervises Program Specialists.
  • Conducts client needs assessments, analyzes results and develops proposals, program budgets and determines resources to implement training.

    Minimum Education Required:
    Bachelor’s Degree

    Minimum Experience Required:
    Five years of related work experience, including three years of supervisory experience.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases and successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Preferred Education:
    Master’s Degree

    Preferred Experience::
    A demonstrated record of designing and creating non-credit training courses for audiences that include corporate, personal, online and professional learners. Budgeting experience and demonstrated background in revenue generation. Experience leading and collaborating in a team environment. Experience serving as an effective role model in accountability follow-through and diplomacy. Experience in continuing education and program development environment to include the instructional development lifecycle (analyzing needs through evaluating and developing programs). Ability to develop program plans which identify competitive landscape that influence future growth. Experience increasing visibility and enrollment with third-party online providers.

    Salary Range: $40,663 - $50,839
