  ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: Salary commensurate with experience within state guidelines

HOURS: 40/week; Must be willing to teach days, evenings, weekends, and on-line

CAMPUS: Barton  

In this challenging role, you will support the AET/CET Department at Greenville Technical College.  Duties may include any or all of the following:

 -Teach courses in the AET/CET department including construction engineering.  

-Prepare lectures/syllabi, adapt material to meet student's needs when practical.  

-Implement course curriculum and develop/implement new classroom strategies.  

-Adhere to college and department guidelines and requirements.  

-Design tests/exams, assign/post grades, and advise students on academic progress.  

-Implement student persistence/retention related activities.  

-Assist in recruitment/placement of students.  

-Prepare/submit administrative reports and collaborate with the Department Head and faculty to develop/maintain a strong advisory board for the AET and CET programs.  

-Assessment:  Collaborate with faculty and the Department Head to develop and implement institutional effectiveness activities for the demonstration of quality instructional programs, departmental and divisional goals, and long-range plans including APR process and national or state.  

-Accreditation/Certification requirements:  Submit data and other reports as required to the Construction Engineering Technology department as required for all assessment activities to include APR, SACS, and national or state accreditation (ABET)/certification requirements.  

-Keep current in technical/professional knowledge through professional development.  

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Master's degree in Construction Science and Management with a minimum of 4 years work experience in building construction.  

-Experience teaching Construction Engineering Technology courses.

-Current up-to-date technical knowledge in the Construction Engineering Technology field.

-Excellent communication and human relation skills and be capable of maintaining an atmosphere that fosters learning.

-Ability to function as part of a collaborative team.
