(Job #17-61) Information Technology Consultant (Career), Learning Management System Support Coordinator, $4,372-$9,683/month. Appointments are typically made at the beginning of the salary range. This is a full-time, permanent, 12-month, benefitted position in College of Extended Education and Global Engagement.
Position Summary: Academic Technologies in the College of Extended Education and Global Engagement is recruiting a Learning Management System (LMS) Support Coordinator. The LMS Support Coordinator supports faculty, staff, and students using the campus learning management system (LMS) in teaching and learning initiatives. The LMS Support Coordinator assists in the creation and management of LMS technical training programs including both online and face-to-face. This position offers high quality customer service on the phone, in person, and online, as well as group and individual training on the use of the LMS. This position is responsible for hands-on, technical coordination with the Academic Technology Support Specialist and the AT Student Assistants. The LMS Support Coordinator is HSU's LMS expert and works collaboratively within AT to answer questions and solve problems, in all aspects concerning the LMS. As such, the LMS Support Coordinator communicates, as necessary, with various units within HSU's Information Technology Services (ITS).
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Academic Technology the incumbent will coordinate with both the instructional design team and the Academic Support Specialist to support faculty and student use of the LMS and assist in the development and support of faculty and student learning opportunities in a variety of formats. The incumbent will provide support to academic units using the LMS to enhance and facilitate academic and educational objectives.

A basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technical information systems and application program packages. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study. Experience with Moodle and Canvas and associated academic technologies is preferred. Knowledge of student-centered instructional practices. Experience in multimedia systems. Two years of full time experience providing information technology support.
Highly desirable: Administration experience with Canvas.
