Coordinator, Veterans Services
Job Summary: The Coordinator of Veterans Support Services is responsible for the counseling of all applicants and recipients of veteran’s educational benefits, certifying eligibility and ensuring compliance with federal, state and University regulations.
This position will oversee the Office of Veterans Services, creating veteran-specific programming and serving as the spokesperson for the University on veteran related matters at on- and off-campus functions.
This is a full-time, administrative exempt position that reports to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Prior administrative experience in higher education or related field
Ability to work with, effectively communicate to, and assist students and families from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) , interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Ability and willingness to travel to and work at the Schaumburg campus, as needed
Ability to make effective presentations in small and large group meetings
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships
An upbeat and professional demeanor is a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces
Prior experience working in veterans support services
Prior experience as a School Certifying Official at a two- or four-year institution
Knowledge or previous experience working in Banner or comparable ERP
Roosevelt University graduate
