Job Description Summary
This position instructs high school students in grades 10 - 12 using the Creative Coding Through Games And Apps curriculum during Tri-C's Upward Bound Math and Science Summer STEM Academy. This is a six-week instructional assignment (June 13, 2016 - July 22, 2016) with planning meetings commencing in May 2016.
Teach coding to high school students
Monitor and keep daily log of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress.
Utilize the daily lesson plans, activites, and quizzes from Creative Coding Through Games And Apps curriculum.
Develop and maintain class syllabi and grade reports (mid-term & end-of-year).
Provide classroom management and instruction in assigned courses.
Provide a comprehensive written evaluation on each student enrolled in the classes taught (mid-term & End-of-Year).
Develop an end-of-year project based on the curriculum.
Working towards an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
Microsoft Visual Studio 2015
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Maintain a high level of commitment to guide and motivate students in their goals to achieve a higher education.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

The instructor will work approximately 15 hours per week, between 12:30pm and 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
