Job Summary/Basic Function: The College of Arts and Sciences seeks applications from qualified candidates for a full-time non-tenure track lecturer position beginning in fall 2017. The appointment is for a lecturer in Physics. Teaching of both lower and upper division undergraduate courses is expected. The College seeks excellence in instruction. The regular teaching load is 4/4, with expectations of committee work and other university service. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.
Work Hours: Depends on course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, night, and weekend classes.

If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.

Necessary Qualifications: A Masters degree in Physics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Physics.
Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in Physics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Necessary Qualifications: A minimum of one year college or university teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Broad training in Physics and experience teaching Physics.
Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse student body.
Familiarity with high-impact educational practices such as cooperative education, service learning, and undergraduate research.
Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios.
