The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Clinical Counselor.

Duties: Managing crisis and triage services with some case management and referral. Providing assessment and time-limited counseling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Providing group counseling and psychotherapy through a general therapy group or a group that addresses a specific clinical issue or the needs of a particular group of students. Providing outreach and clinical services that address the needs of the general student population as well as the needs of underserved populations. Participating in psychological emergency and trauma response. Participating in other outreach, training, and treatment team activities. Training/advising doctoral interns, practicum students and undergraduate paraprofessional service providers. Participating in various Student Affairs activities and committees.

Requirements: Requires a Master's in Clinical Psychology, Clinical/Community Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or related advanced degree field. License in Illinois or license eligible background as a Psychologist, Social Worker, or Clinical Counselor is required. Also requires two (2) years experience as a generalist counselor in a university setting. Experience must include managing mental health crises independently and dealing with a range of clinical issues seen within college student populations including suicidal risk assessment, acculturative stress indicative of Asian international student populations, and general psychological status assessment.
