Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related field. Experience in cell culture, DNA and RNA purification, PCR, western blotting, and flow cytometry, experience with transgenic murine models.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell culture.

Brief Description of Duties: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate candidate to work on an exciting research project on the abnormal hematopoiesis in myeloproliferative neoplasms. This position will provide unique training experience in both in vitro and in vivo assay systems to study normal and neoplastic hematopoiesis. There will also be opportunities for career development training and mentorship to help the candidate progress to a career in biomedical sciences.

Job Duties:

  • Perform cell culture studies, DNA and RNA purification, PCR, western blotting and flow cytometry.
  • Data analysis and library research.
  • Assist with lab organization, order lab supplies and maintain supply inventory.
Special Notes: FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. This full time position is located in Commack.
