Reporting to the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs, the Director of Graduate Admissions holds a key leadership role providing operational and strategic direction for all phases of the recruitment and admissions process for CU Leeds Full-Ti me & Evening M BA as well as for five Specialized Masters Programs. The successful candidate will spearhead recruiting initiatives that align with CU Leeds strategic goals of nurturing values driven graduate programs where sustainability and entrepreneurship along with diversity and inclusion help to advance the flagship school's reputation and rankings. All of this in the scenic start-up hub of Boulder and among the dynamic Colorado business community where the CU/Leeds network i s vast and enthusiastic and the faculty is outstanding. We are looking for an experienced self-starter who is eager to join a dynamic and new leadership team (new dean, new associate dean).
What your key responsibilities will be:
Develop, manage, and evaluate admissions and recruitment strategies to achieve enrollment goals across all MBA and MS Programs.
Formulate strategies and enrollment plans in partnership with the Associate Dean, Director of Marketing, as well as other admissions team members to accomplish established admissions and enrollment objectives and achieve net revenue targets.
Provide strategic direction and oversight to develop plans, procedures, and decisions that attract a talented and diverse student population, including the Dean's new initiative "End the Gap by 2020", to achieve a 50% yield for female Full-Time MBAs.
Incorporate and utilize analytics to interpret data, industry trends, and for increasing yield. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, growth trends, etc. in the MBA and MS markets.
Identify and participate in the selection and engagement of key enrollment vendors/services/consultants that support Leeds graduate growth plans.
Oversee all admissions and recruitment events, and maintain a network of internal and external relationships and partnerships that advance Leeds' enrollment goals
Develop and execute recruiting events, information sessions, as well as other events to promote programs.
Target geographical locations in the U.S. as well as internationally to determine how best to reach enrollment goals for the Full-Time and Evening MBA Programs as well as for Leeds five Specialized Masters Programs.
Maintain a visible and engaged leadership role (where possible) and serve as the Leeds School's primary representative in key organizations (e.g. GMAC), with other Schools on campus and within the CU System; especially with Leeds Corporate Partners to attract the highest quality candidates, as well as with the school's large alumni network.
Develop and mentor the admissions staff
Hire, coach and mentor a team of motivated, knowledgeable and versatile staff, with the goal of building a cohesive and collaborative team.
Engage all staff members in advancing the goals of the department, the school and the University.
Lead by example - by demonstrating a deep customer-service orientation, strong morale and the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
Manage database and report metrics
Possess a thorough understanding of the Graduate Office's admissions database, currently Slate, for the processing and management of all applicants during the various recruiting cycles. Develop and maintain current and accurate tracking reports to provide admissions metrics for the senior leadership team.
Manage budget and track expenses
Collaborate with the Associate Dean in developing and managing the admissions and recruitment's annual budget.
Manage and evaluate the school's scholarships and fellowships budgets.
Ongoing review and tracking of expenses to ensure we are in compliance with the school's financial officers.
What we can offer:
The anticipated starting salary for this position is $99,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

What we require:
A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
At least 5 years of previous senior-level admissions experience, preferably in a nationally ranked MBA or related graduate program with demonstrated success in building graduate programs' enrollments.
What you will need:
Proficiency with admissions technology plat forms.
Collaborative style as a manager and colleague. The ability to build rapport, motivate staff and build effective and deep relationships with faculty, staff, alumni, student workers and corporate board partners.
An analytic mindset that utilizes data to inform decision-making.
Excellent public speaking and written communication skills.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability and willingness to adapt quickly to changing priorities as needed.
What we'd like you to have:
MBA degree from an accredited college or university.
Proficiency using Slate as a technology plat form for admissions and recruiting.
Have or have the ability to obtain a current passport for potential international travel.
Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified.
