Degree and Area of Specialization:
M.S. in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Family and Consumer Sciences, Community Psychology, Adult Education, Social Work, Communication or related field. Ph.D. preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
University-level teaching experience is preferred, along with additional experience in other community and/or educational settings. Demonstrated successful experience with nonprofit and community agencies is required.
Teach Civil Society and Community Studies 460, Leadership and Management of Nonprofit Organizations, in Fall semester, 2017. This course provides the opportunity for students to learn leadership and management strategies of nonprofit organizations through the study of high-impact organizations. The class facilitates interaction with local experts and independent investigation of the inner workings of local nonprofits, through which students will have opportunities to assess and develop skills for nonprofit leadership.
