Responsibilities

Responsible for working with the head football coach, athletic administration and Asst. AD/SID in developing communication strategies, policies, procedures and daily management for the schools football program.
Develop a respectful working relationship with the local and national media covering the football program and its student-athletes in an effort to facilitate positive publicity surrounding FSU coaches, student-athletes and support staff.
Work with student-athletes to understand the role of the media and to represent Florida State, the football program and themselves in an appropriate manner during interviews.
Responsible for the publication of a media guide and/or yearly fact book that is on site before ACC media day each season.
Responsible for supplying TV broadcasters and radio crews covering FSU football games with all requested materials, weekly releases, depth charts and any other pertinent information by the dates requested.
Work directly with the Asst. AD for Digital Media and the Director of Digital Media to maximize Seminole football on all digital and social channels.

Qualifications

Seeking an experienced Football Media Relations Professional who is familiar with and has a working relationship with media covering NCAA DI football. Qualifications include: A Bachelor's degree and three years of experience, including one year experience related to sports media/journalism, or a combination of post high school education and related experience equal to seven years including one year experience related to sports media/journalism. Experience in sports information and media relations. Experience working with media covering NCAA Division I sports. Experience in writing and publication layout, design, and editing. Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop or comparable software. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend hours. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and to meet project deadlines.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

Must be flexible on work hours, including availability for early morning & evening hours, and weekends.
