ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $32,838 - $46,799, Band 05, SC State Classification System
In this challenging role, you will support the Finance/Payroll department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:
-Administers wage and salary payroll for all full-time and temporary employees. Plans, directs, and reviews the work of personnel who prepare temporary payrolls, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of each payroll and associated deposits. Works closely with HR staff and all division heads to establish and maintain proper payroll information for each employee and to advise faculty and staff on special problems concerning payroll.
-Directs and reviews the payment of all payroll withholdings and the required filings for each category of payment. Prepares and reconciles all payroll deduction reports and the receipt of appropriate funds. Prepares reports for state and federal agencies.
-Coordinates for the maintenance of individual payroll records and payroll distribution.
-Ensures that payroll expenditures are allocated properly throughout the accounting system. Plans and executes all calendar and fiscal year-end reporting. Works closely with external, internal, and state auditors to ensure proper adherence to payroll policies and procedures.
-Performs related duties as required.

Bachelor's degree plus 15 semester hours in accounting related courses and 2 years accounting experience; or an Associate's degree with accounting related courses plus 4 years accounting experience.
Applicants possessing any equivalent combination of education and/or training may be considered.
-8+ years of directly related work experience in payroll administration.
-Excellent knowledge of accounting and automated payroll and accounting systems, preferably Ellucian Colleague.
-Knowledgeable of current state and federal payroll laws.
