Job Description

Position Type: Full Time, in office, occasional field work required

Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, occasional field work required

Reports to: Office: Office Administrator

We are seeking a Director of Nursing that embodies the same qualities.

The Director of Nursing is extremely important to the success of Texas Kids as you would be providing direct support to the staff that serves our patients. This position creates relationships that span beyond clinical care with the families and the nurses in a patient's home. It is a responsibility and privilege to change the lives of these families and the effect of nursing care on their lives is truly immeasurable. These relationships are a vital aspect to the success of our agency, the Director of Nursing will establish and maintain compliance with state regulations for home health agencies as well as our own high standards for the level of care provided to our patients. The focus in this role should be placed on the development and betterment of the agency and the staff employed by it.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervising and reviewing the RN Case Management team

• Admission of Patients & Case Management

• Managing patients' data and medical records

• Field Staff Development

• Agency Compliance

• Creating and Maintaining relationships with physician's, patients and family members

• Process development management pertaining to Nursing team

• Other tasks, as assigned

Requirements of the Director of Nursing

• Valid Texas Nursing License

• Strong leadership experience required

• Lead Case Management experience in Pediatrics preferred

• Assistant Director of Nursing experience in Pediatrics preferred

• Bachelor's in Nursing required, Master's preferred
