Job Description

Wesley Homes is currently in need of a RN Resident Care Coordinator (Admission Nurse) for our Health Center. Shift hours are noon - 8 p.m. Monday - Friday.

The Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the total nursing activities during a particular shift . This specific position is focused primarily on the admissions. This position may also assign responsibility to all nursing personnel for the direct nursing care of specific residents during each tour of duty, on the basis of the care needs of the resident. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing long term care facilities is essential for the maintenance of nursing objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policy and the coordination of nursing services with other resident services. The Resident Care Coordinator assists the RCM in the timely and accurate completion of all state and federally required paperwork. This individual promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, resident, families, and other disciplines and keeps the RCM apprised of all problems occurring on the assigned unit while enforcing Wesley Homes Health Center's policies and procedures.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of Washington State nurse practice laws, and State and Federal guidelines governing long term care

• Experience and/or training in geriatric nursing practice

• Demonstrated leadership, public relation and supervisory skills

• Ability to speak and understand English. Good communication skills understanding that many of the residents are hard of hearing

• Demonstrated ability to assess residents and plan quality care

• Good physical and emotional health

• Knowledge of or willingness to acquire computer skills

HIRING PREFERENCES/REQUIREMENTS:

• Current RN license in the State of Washington required

• Current CPR certificate required

• Able to document eligibility to work in the United States

• Able to produce 3 positive professional references

• Able to pass drug screen, DSHS, & WSP background inquiries

• Able to embrace Wesley Homes mission, vision and goals
