Position Summary
The Department of Addiction Studies, Psychology, and Social Work at Minot State University invites applications for a tenure-track Social Work position at the assistant professor level, beginning August 15, 2017. The Social Work Program at Minot State has been continuously accredited by CSWE since 1978. The program serves approximately 150 students and offers a distance program in collaboration with several other North Dakota colleges and universities throughout the State. We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching in the context of liberal education. 
Position Responsibilities
The position is a nine-month contract. Faculty expectations include teaching, scholarship, student advising, and service to the university and the community. There is a possibility that a qualified person would be considered to become the program director which is a 10 month position.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have at least a Masters of Social Work degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, two years post MSW practice experience, and be license eligible in North Dakota.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be giving to candidates who have earned a Ph.D. or doctorate in Social Work or closely related field. Persons with expertise in generalist community practice, policy, service learning, and diverse populations are encouraged to apply.
