Atlanta Metropolitan State College, a four-year degree-granting institution of the University System of Georgia, is accepting applications for the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness. Atlanta Metropolitan State College currently serves approximately 3200 commuting students at its main campus which is located 10 minutes south of downtown Atlanta, and 15 minutes north of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. 

The Department of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for leading several major programs and initiatives of the colleges, including: strategic planning, institutional assessment, SACSCOC accreditation, program reviews, unit plans, data reports (internal and external), retention analytics, IPEDS and SACSCOC reporting, USG data/information reporting, special programs, and state/federal compliance laboratory/workplace compliance. 

The Assistant Vice President, Institutional Effectiveness (VPIE) is a 12-month position, which reports to the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the program review (academic and non-academic) processes; leading efforts with the College's strategic planning process, including evaluating and implementing KPIs and other assessment measures to monitor and determine the College's progress in meeting institutional goals; assist the VPIE with monitoring SACSCOC compliance, and preparing for SACSCOC reporting and accreditation activities; planning and conducting campus-wide training on various topics related to the responsibilities of the Department of Institutional Effectiveness; supervising staff, budget planning; assisting with data security, management, creating/ distributing internal and external data policies and reports; overseeing the College's Fact Book preparation and distribution; assisting with overseeing IE and institutional publications and documents to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely distribution; and conducting other special programs and responsibilities related to the Department of Institutional Effectiveness and the College.  


The successful candidate must have a Master's Degree in a discipline that emphasizes quantitative reasoning and analysis, and three years of experience in a related higher education field. 

The candidate must have superb oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate must also demonstrate experience and the ability to conduct strategic planning and assessment at the organizational level; organize, plan, and successfully implement large-scale projects; while working efficiently independently, as well as with intra- and interdisciplinary teams. Statistics Background; Experience with SAS, Crystal Reports, Banner, Data Warehouses, ACCESS, Excel, SPSS, Scripting, Project management, Project management software
