To provide customer service assistance to ACCelerator patrons.



Position Information
Location Highland Campus
Note: ACCelerator Hours 30 hours/week as assigned; Generally Monday-Thursday, 1:30p.m.-10p.m. Salary Assistant 4/114 ($17,942.25 - $25,631.25) FLSA Status Non-Exempt Reports To Supervisor, ACCelerator Operations Criminal Background Check Pre-employment criminal background checks are required for all Staff and Faculty positions. Pre-employment urinalyses drug screens are also required for all top candidates considered for positions in ACC's College Police department.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides customer service to prospective, current and former students by providing information on the services of the ACCelerator.
  • Completes routine procedures and daily functions including ACCelerator checking-in, checking-out, organizing instructional resources, and opening/closing the ACCelerator facilities.
  • Provides proactive student assistance.
  • Responds to questions and inquires in person, by telephone, or via email.
  • Performs various data entry and clerical support for the ACCelerator; opens and distributes mail, files, and maintains office supplies as needed.
  • Monitors and troubleshoots problems with copiers, printers, and the ID system.
  • May participate in special projects.

    Required Work Experience

    • One year related work experience.




    Required Education

    • High school diploma or educational equivalent.




    Preferred Education

    • Associate degree or higher.




    Physical Requirements

    • Work is performed in a standard office environment.
    • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
    • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
