General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Chinese Summer Camp Teaching Assistant. This position is responsible for serving as a teaching assistant to the lead teacher in Mandarin. They will assist with planning and implementing coordinated lessons in Chinese to summer camp participants in the Elementary Summer Language Academy.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Chinese Summer Camp Teaching Assistant will:
  • Assist with planning and implement lessons in the target language.
  • Assist with other language instructors to reinforce concepts and topics taught in other languages with in the classroom. Create coordinated lesson plans related to weekly theme and GA Performance Standards.
  • Assist with students assigned to their homeroom class during instruction, recess and supplemental activities.
  • Assist with assessments appropriate to the academic level and content standards taught.
  • Assist with accurate records keeping of attendance and activity during camps.
  • Assist with students on field trips and during meals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Mandarin Language Experience

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
