Department Overview
The UNT System Office of Budget and Planning supports the UNT System by providing oversight and administration for the System's administrative budget under the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Budget and Planning.

Job Description
The UNT System Office of Budget & Planning is seeking to hire a Database Administrator Lead to join our team. The Database Administrator Lead performs highly complex (senior-level) database administration work. Work involves coordinating the planning, development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems; evaluating and reviewing database policies and procedures; and maintaining data integrity. May supervise the work of others. Supervises the work of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director of UNT System Budget.

This position is located at the UNT System Business Service Center at Woodhill Square in Denton, TX.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with coursework in computing or information systems and six years of progressively responsible computer programming and analysis experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

* Ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of subordinates
* Thorough knowledge of the methods and equipment used in electronic data processing, including system analysis and design, and computer programming techniques.
* Strong skill in writing programs for computer applications.
* Strong skill in analyzing and solving complex data processing and computing problems.
* Ability to coordinate a work team and train lower level programmers and analysts for specific tasks or assignments.
* Ability to perform detailed work accurately.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Knowledge of safe working procedures related to work performed.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Experience developing business intelligence deliverables using tools such as Cognos Report Studio or similar Bl environment.
* Experience developing data models using tools such as Cognos Framework Manager.
* Experience developing Hyperion Planning Applications,include metadata maintenance ,rule calculationss, forms, and task lists.
* Experience utilizing FDMEE integrations.
* Experience administrating Hyperion Planning Application.
* Experience developing Essbase cube based reporting using tools such as Hyperion Financial Reporting & Smart View.
* Experience developing advanced SQL (Oracle).
* Experience querying against PeopleSoft tables (Finance, HR, and Payroll).
