FSU International Programs
Responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work including preparation of various expense reports, budget to actual analyses, overhead calculations, accounting for FSU Foundation scholarships, invoices for reimbursement from the FSU Auxiliary Fund, reconciliations of accounts, posting and other duties as assigned by the IP Assist. Director, Budget & Financial Services which may have a significant impact on decisions made regarding profitability of the program.
Responsible for initiating Travel Authorizations and Travel Reimbursements for International Programs staff in the OMNI system including follow-up to track the approval and processing of the travel authorizations and expense reports. Audits expense reports to ensure the appropriate budget account is indicated and that all FSU travel policies and procedures are followed. Responsible for processing and posting of student receipts in the IP database and communicating student account balances to students and parents. May assist with answering questions about program fees and ways to pay for the program.
Responsible for auditing all support for and preparing account coding of purchases made with the IP corporate credit cards or the University Club Account and reconciliation of all purchases to the monthly statements and ensuring compliance with IP policies for travel and purchasing. Serves as back-up for several functions within the office: (1) document imaging system (2) front desk responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience. (Note: or high school diploma and six years of experience.)
Experience with Fiscal and Accounting Technology.
Experience the ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
Experience of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions. Specifically, Microsoft Excel.
Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking based upon in depth data.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience performing accurately in a detail oriented environment.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
