The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the tenure track. The successful applicant will be accomplished in the area of cardiac surgery. Expertise in the specific area of pediatric cardiothoracic surgery (including off-pump, robotic, arterial and minimally invasive approaches) is required. Responsibilities include clinical care for pediatric cardiac surgery patients; teaching of medical students and residents; and pursuit of scholarly research in the field. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or eligible for such certification.

This position will be focused at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the nation's oldest pediatric hospital and consistently ranked among the best. The successful candidate will be appointed Chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at CHOP and will have concomitant administrative responsibilities.
