The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program seeks a nationally recognized theatre artist to be the Director of the Graduate Program. Now in its 30th year of partnership with the prestigious Old Globe, this highly selective MFA program has consistently enjoyed national recognition as a professional, classically based training program for actors that is dedicated to excellence and inclusion. Working closely with the Artistic Director of The Old Globe and Chair of the USD Department of Theatre, the MFA Program Director serves as an advocate for the students and the program's continued success while demonstrating the values of both institutions.

The ideal candidate is a Master Acting Teacher and theatre professional who will be eligible for tenure upon appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with experience. Preferred candidates of this full-time, 12-month position will demonstrate the skills to guide an accomplished faculty, staff, and guest artists; successfully advise a diverse student population; direct productions; and serve as an ambassador of the program to both audiences and the community.
