General Summary of Position:

The Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Division of Online & Continuing Education is responsible for a caseload of continuing education student aid applicants. The Assistant Director advises students and families on financial aid programs, policies and procedures, student eligibility, special circumstances, and financial planning. The Assistant Director verifies student Cflag eligibility, monitors and revises financial aid awards due to changes in enrollment, EFC, housing, outside resources, special circumstances, etc.

In addition, the position is responsible for the summer term, winter term and end of term financial aid processing including budget development, packaging, enrollment verification, staff training, and policy and procedure development, documentation, and updating.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years financial aid experience
-Thorough knowledge of federal financial aid regulations
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
-Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance

Other Considerations:
-Ability to work with diverse populations
-Strong organizational skills and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities
-Functional experience with an integrated Student Information Systems required
-Expertise with PeopleSoft Student Administration System preferred
