Responsibilities

The Director of Administrative Information Services ( AIS ) is responsible for strategic planning, enhancement of, integration with and operational support of the university's Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) system.

The Director is a hands on technical manager providing support and direction to members of the AIS team and end users of the ERP .

This position is part of Information Technology Services ( ITS ) department and coordinates implementation and support activities with other ITS teams.


Minimum Qualifications

Minimum:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related field and seven or more years of experience in information technology;
• Three or more years experience with information technology management of a Colleague by Ellucian (formerly Datatel) implementation;
• Five or more years experience with direct supervision and management of information technology staff such as developers, system administrators and/or database administrators;
• Five or more years experience leading software development life cycle activities including custom software development and/or implementation of third party software products;
• Three or more years experience with project and/or portfolio management;
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with customers at all levels of the organization;
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and reliably to ensure activities are completed to customer satisfaction;
• Demonstrated ability to carefully manage resources to provide maximum benefits to the organization;
• Strong focus on customer service and development of long term customer relationships and partnerships;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Ability to multi-task effectively and balance multiple priorities;
• Desire and ability to learn and apply new skills/technologies quickly


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:
• Strong experience working with multiple technology, database and infrastructure platforms (e.g. Java, SQL Server, . NET , etc);
• Strong experience evaluating and integration third party solutions and services, along with management of third party software vendors;
• Strong experience with large scale systems implementations.
