SOURCING MANAGER
MC E&O - Maintenance

Identify and negotiate contract opportunities to lower the cost of procurement of facility maintenance and construction goods and services. Ensure that contracts meet all Duke, state, and federal regulations and customer needs.

Review and interpret service contract terms and conditions for conflicts to Duke policy; provide guidance to department leadership on implications of contract terms. Negotiate contracts with suppliers; evaluates bids and proposals and makes recommendations regarding award decisions; review and interpret vendor contracts for accuracy and completeness.

Manage contracts with suppliers to ensure supplier compliance; analyzes supplier change requests to existing contracts and approves changes or revisions. Review and interpret service contract terms and conditions for conflicts to Duke policy; provide guidance to department leadership on implications of contract terms. Coordinate with Duke Procurement office and legal counsel to resolve issues.

Track markets to anticipate customer needs, changes to those needs, and the impact to existing contracts or development of future contracts; monitor inflation and its impact on forecasting. Act as liaison between University, DUHS and subcontractors to implement fulfillment of contracts.

Act as liaison between department and Procurement Services for negotiation, maintenance and changes to contracts in electronic contract system. Facilitate the resolution of disputes with supplier to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

Coordinate the integration of new suppliers into the procurement system. Create and review reports showing status of contract activity. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws.

Education

Work requires the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or business related field.

Experience

Requires five years of progressively responsible contract administration/procurement-related experience. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree and advanced training or experience related to contracts administration.

Advanced degree or specific experience directly related to the negotiation and review of legal terms and conditions of facility contracts will be given preference and credit toward minimum experience requirement.

Understanding and experience with legal terms and conditions regarding contracts is a requirement.
