Job description

Duties: The candidate will act as research project manager and will provide day to day administrative oversight for a Cancer Immunotherapy Research Program including management of Histology operations. The research project manager will collaborate with principal investigators and researchers in industry on the study design, analyses, protocol development and study execution of these research initiatives. The candidate will work independently, collaboratively, possessing managerial, writing and analytical skills. The research project manager will design, oversee, and manage multiple research projects as well as financial and laboratory operations (e.g. biosafety, training, and EHRS compliance). The candidate will also be expected to lead the conduct and execution of studies related to various research projects to assist in day to day research operations. In doing so, this individual will provide leadership to staff and students with respect to the conduct of the multi-faceted research efforts.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
The candidate should have expertise in animal studies, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and molecular biology. The candidate should be proficient in preparation of manuscripts and grants. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic/motivation, meticulous organizational skills, prior experience in ordering and management of financial operations in the lab, and strong social/communication skills.
