Duties: The Financial Administrative Coordinator in the School of Arts and Sciences, Business Operations area provides financial and administrative support in concert with their Regional Business Office to ensure efficient and timely daily operations. This positon will coordinate, monitor and process all transactions related to the office's financial activities including purchasing, payables, reimbursements, purchasing card, time reporting, journal entries and account reconciliations. The Financial Administrative Coordinator will serve as petty cash custodian, set up and maintain account and transaction files, provide front-end support for the office and complete other business administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma and five years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. BA/BS preferred; 1 - 2 years of experience in a University Business Office environment preferred; experience with Penn's financial systems (BEN, UMIS, TEM/CONCUR, PennWorks and Oracle-based applications) as well as intermediate skills in Microsoft office (particularly Excel) are preferred. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate with faculty, staff and students; demonstrate a pro-active work style with strong follow-up skills; be able to work under pressure; possess strong attention to detail; must have effective interpersonal skills and be able to enforce guidelines and protocols with constituents in a diplomatic and assertive manner; must be able to switch gears depending on processing and/or project deadlines; must have ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and remain flexible in order to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
