Duties: The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all operational aspects of the Education Entrepreneurship Master's Program. Steward 2017-18 program growth that includes an almost 100% increase in both student enrollment and in faculty size. Drive dual-degree integration with the Wharton Business School. Manage core functions including student affairs, faculty support services, marketing, recruitment, admissions, onboarding of new faculty or staff hires, communications, finances, technology and data systems. Responsible for the management and training of one full-time support staff, several part-time student assistants and workers. Manage budgetary processes, including reconciling the program budget and managing faculty and staff payment processing. Report directly to the Program Director and serve as a key member of the Program Management Team and Steering Committee. Work on cross-functional teams and serve as a liaison with many Penn and GSE financial and administrative departments. Regularly interface with senior leaders from academia and industry.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Education, Business, Non-profit or Public Administration and 7 to 10 years of experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Non-profit or Public Administration and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Work experience of increasing responsibility in program administration, student engagement and support, and project management. Proven abilities in admissions services, financial management, innovative problem solving, and use of high-level project management skills. Proven record of supporting adult learners and facilitating communications with leaders from academia and industry. Demonstrated ability to design, launch, manage and evaluate organizational projects and initiatives. Experience working with digital media and a variety of tech platforms is strongly preferred. Proven track record as a high-level contributor, collaborator, and self-starter. History of working effectively with diverse constituencies and as a collaborator in the workplace. Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational and presentation skills; as well as the ability to manage staff and work independently on new, fast-track projects. Interest in working in teams in an innovative, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment with diverse constituencies is required for this position.
