General Summary: The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for the Program Coordinator for Summer Scholars 2017 position. This position coordinate all aspects of Summer Scholars Institute program.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: This position will:
  • Plan and recruit for the coming year
  • Coordinate Language Arts/ Social Studies curriculum
  • Participate in field trips
  • Supervise UNG interns
  • Communicate and collaborate with schools, parents, and participants
  • Collect data and analyze for program effectiveness assessment
  • Assist with community outreach and publicity


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • ESOL teaching and/or experience working with English learners; BILINGUAL English/Spanish skills preferred


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • BA required; masters or doctorate preferred.
  • K-12 teaching; higher education teaching
  • Teacher certification in middle/secondary education
