Director of Parent Giving
Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of parent prospects for the Parents Fund and other areas of support. Coordinates overall parent giving activities with donor marketing and all gift officers, which includes obtaining memberships in leadership gift societies. Coordinates the involvement of Furman parents in the life of the university through things such as Parents Council and other volunteer activities. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree with 3 to 5 years experience in related field. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for interaction with parents, students and alumni of all ages. Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in written form, is required for ease of correspondence. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge database.
Preferred Qualifications: At least three years of fundraising, volunteer management, sales and marketing experience is desirable. Self-confidence, strong organizational skills, and effective time management skills are desirable.
Salary Grade: Level 13 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
