About the College/Department
The J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences is the largest and most academically diverse unit on campus with 19 departments and 43 academic programs and research centers. Summary of Job Duties
The Administrative Specialist II performs general reception duties for the Department of English. This position is responsible for maintaining contact information for faculty, Graduate Assistants, and alumni. This position also assists with faculty recruitment, ordering low-cost office supplies, and performing general office duties. Other duties as assigned.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as it the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

- The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
- At least two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed

Candidates selected for an interview for this position will be asked to complete proficiency testing in the following categories:
- Microsoft Office Word and Excel 2013 - Normal User version (Basic Proficiency)
- Typing - words per minute
- Department of English Writing Test
The Microsoft Office and typing tests will be emailed to each candidate selected for an interview. The testing should be finalized before the scheduled interview, and can be completed on a personal computer at any location, or on campus in the Human Resources department in the Administration Building, office 222. Computers are limited and seating is on a first come first serve basis. Please visit Human Resources online for more information. The Department of English Writing Test will be completed during the interview.
