Responsible for functioning as Equipment Manager in overseeing all aspects of Indoor Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, and Track operations as they relate to day-to-day practice needs, game day activities, ordering inventory, supervising, etc.
Responsible for all game day and practice operations to include locker room and other facilities. Oversees daily equipment room operations. Organize at home and on-the-road transportation and inventory of necessary game equipment. Manages cleaning of team uniforms, practice apparel, and other materials. Additionally, responsible for maintenance of clothes washers and clothes dryers and ordering laundry chemicals for assigned Athletic Laundry Room(s). Coordinate arrangements for visiting teams with regard to use of facility and accommodations to include food and laundry. Responsible for knowledge and interpretation all of NCAA safety/compliance rules pertaining to equipment and issuing of equipment.
Responsible for all Nike orders for Indoor Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, and Track. Reviews and approves all Nike orders for Cross Country, Swimming & Diving, and Tennis. Handles all incoming shipments and manages all inventory with proper documentation. Responsible for the process of evaluating the condition of equipment for assigned teams and certifying that each item meets minimum safety standards governed by the national organization. Implements and maintains a program for tracking and supervising the repair and maintenance of all equipment for assigned teams. Monitor daily operations in the Tully Gym Equipment Room and oversees the daily operations in the Track Equipment Room.
Supervising the activities of the Athletic Equipment Room and Locker Room Attendants, student-managers, and student-assistants including scheduling hours, assigning work, and recommending personnel actions.
Ensures all necessary and required equipment are stored and attainable before and after every team travel. Responsible for completing proper documentation for equipment inventory related to team travel.
A Bachelor's degree and two years relevant experience; or a high school education and relevant education and/or experience equal to six years.
Experience working at the collegiate level with practice and game day preparation of setting up equipment and stations.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Must be flexible on work hours, including availability for early morning & evening hours, as well as weekends.
